Northern Gaza residents ‘resort to eating grass’

Food shortages are continuing to plague Palestinians in northern Gaza, many of whom depend on charity groups to get just one meal a day.
Naif Radwan, an elderly man from Jabalia, told Al Jazeera he was demoralized by the sky-high price of vegetables, which were out of reach for most residents.
“Aubergines now cost $14 a kilo,” Radwan said. “All I do is look at them and then leave. Other vegetables that used to cost a dollar are now more than $6.
“People have resorted to eating grass.”
